Already title partner to The Transat CIC until 2024, CIC has confirmed its commitment to the Route du Rhum-Destination Guadeloupe


CIC, a major player in the French banking sector, has strengthened its commitment to offshore sailing by becoming the main partner for the next two editions of the Route du Route-Destination Guadeloupe, to be held in 2022 and 2026.


Already title partner to The Transat CIC until 2024, CIC will reinforce its partnership with race owners and organisers OC Sport Pen Duick by supporting two of the world’s most famous single-handed transatlantic races.


The Route du Rhum-Destination Guadeloupe is a classic, solo transatlantic race, that takes place every four years. The 3,542 nautical mile course from northern Brittany, France to the French Caribbean island of Guadeloupe attracts the world’s top ocean racers, with 124 boats taking the start line in 2018 across six different divisions.


CIC now joins the Brittany Region and the City of Saint-Malo as main partners for the next two editions of the race, alongside the Regional Council of Guadeloupe, the exclusive title partner of the event until 2026.


CIC has also confirmed its commitment to The Transat CIC race for the 2024 edition, alongside the major institutional partners of the event, the City of Brest and Brest Métropole. By supporting the two largest, single-handed, multi-class transatlantic races, CIC has also reinforced its economic, environmental and social commitment to all players in the nautical sector.
